Donna Lee Lingg, 90, passed away on December 25, 2019 in Canadian.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemeteries with Pastor Donald Hill officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley of Canadian.
Donna was born November 7, 1929 in Chapman, Nebraska to Richard and Bessie Meyers. She married Warren B. Lingg on January 16, 1957 in Enid, Oklahoma and they moved to Canadian in 1958. Warren preceded her in death on September 16, 2012 after 55 years of marriage. Together they operated several service stations in Canadian over the years which include Red Top Station, Oasis Truck Stop, and Linggs Texaco. Donna was a kind and a very strong-willed woman. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Audrey Meyers Nicholson and Judy Meyers Webster; 4 brothers, Cline Meyers, Ruben Meyers, Thomas Meyers, and Leonard Meyers.
Survivors include her sister, Frieda McMurrain of Cheyenne, WY; two stepdaughters, Ellen Wainwright and husband Roger of Canadian and Teresa Lingg of Oklahoma City, OK; her sister-in-law, Betty C. Plymesser of Woodward, OK; 5 grandchildren, Willie Chris Briggs of Arlington, Kimberly Morrison of Allen, Kirk Briggs of Bremerton, WA, Misty Wainwright of Burleson, and Kody Dewey of Lawton, OK; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews which include a special nephew, Dudley Nicholson of Phoenix, AZ.
