Doyle Furgason, 63, of Canadian, died August 21, 2017 in Canadian. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel, with Pastor Dwight Kirksey of Celebration Family Church in Fritch, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Furgason was born September 16, 1953 in Borger where he attended school. He had been a resident of Canadian most of his life. Doyle married Candy Reid on August 15, 1987. He worked in the oil and gas industry his entire career, and was currently a pumper for Apache Corporation. Doyle loved to fish, go to the mountains, traveling to the coast, sitting out on the porch and listening to music. Survivors include his wife, Candy of the home; two sons, Lather Furgason and wife Elizabeth of Fritch, and Cody Furgason and wife Tera of Claude; a sister, Sondra Keener and husband Kevin of Fritch; mother-in-law, Carol Reid of Canadian; sister-in-law, Lisa Lopez and husband Mike of Canadian; seven grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and his dogs, Dallie and Odie. Doyle was preceded in death by his father, Leon Furgason; his mother and stepfather, Marlene and Keith Cunningham; a brother, Terry Furgason; a stepson, Dax Robinett; and his father-in-law, J. B. Reid. Memorials may be made to the Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. 4th, Canadian, Texas 79014.
