Harold Ray Haines

Harold Ray Haines, 69, of Lipscomb, died August 16, 2018.  A public viewing will be held Monday August 20, 2018, from 12 noon until 8 pm at the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home in Canadian.  Arrangements by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Harold entered this world on January 29, 1949 in Canadian Texas, born to Harry and Grace Haines.  He married Shirley Ballard on December 18, 1971. Harold married Pam Eckels Haines on June 17, 2008 and they celebrated ten happy years together. Harold graduated from Canadian High School with the class of 1967.  He attended Amarillo College following high school.  Harold joined and served with the United States Navy, receiving special commendations.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #855 and was a devoted volunteer with the American Red Cross.  Harold attended both the First Christian Church and the River Ministries Church.  At the time of his death he was a major figure in the Union Church of Lipscomb.  He was a true example of living a life of love. Harold never met a stranger and his love for others was only matched by his kindness.  He will be missed by all and the world will be a dimmer place without him in it. Harold is survived by his wife, Pam Haines of the home, three daughters, Laurie McElroy and husband Russell of Uvalde, Andrea Haines and husband Daryn Parry, Kelly Scott and husband Gregory of Borger; 13 grandchildren, Kendal Daniels and husband Juan Ortiz, Kaleigh Horrtor and husband Tyler, Kyler Stephens, Kamree Stephens, Karley Stephens, Nicholas Haines, Baylar Partain, Ethan Partain, Kelby Haines and wife Rubi, Shaleigh Price, Markesha Haines, Shelly Campbell and husband Shane, and Dean Scott and wife Misty, and 19 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his stepchildren, Leslie Fry and husband Russell, their children Ethan, Sam, and Will, Ray Weeks and partner Natalie Pino and their son Atticus, and George Peyton and wife Johanna and their children Ainsley, Bailey, and Caroline. He was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Grace Haines; 2 brothers, Harry Fredrick Haines Jr. and Dee Alvin Haines; sister-in-law, Roberta Haines. Memorials may be made in honor of Harold Haines to the American Red Cross and the Lipscomb Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box, Lipscomb, TX 79056
