Jerry was born on June 5, 1940, in Ringling, Oklahoma, (the home of the Mud Creekers).  He graduated from high school in Sunray, Texas, where he lived with his parents, Calvin and Tama (Dottie) Hickey.  Jerry worked as a mechanic at various places, but worked at Hobdy Motor Company for 12 years before he became self-employed, as a Contract Pumper for 34 years.  For several years, he pumped wells for 13 companies.  His wife, Freda was his side kick after they married in 1992.  His sons, Scott and Jeff worked together with him for a few years.

Big Dad loved music, singing and playing guitar.  Fishing was a passion; he also enjoyed playing golf and following the Canadian Wildcats.  He loved babies and babies always loved him, too!  It didn’t take long into a conversation to know that Jerry was pretty ornery!  He enjoyed a good laugh and joking around.

Jerry was a member of the First Christian Church of Canadian, Texas, and served as Deacon, Elder and Worship Leader.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Freda Collier of Canadian; son, Jerry Scott Collier and wife Becky of Miami; son, Brandon Robinson of Fort Rucker, Alabama; daughters, Julie Woodall and husband Danny of Porum, Oklahoma, Laura Westbrook and husband Kirk of Canadian, Serena Hernandez and husband Jesse of Pampa.  His brother, Larry Collier and wife Marita of Amarillo; sister, Connie Howard and husband Joey, of Burleson.  Grandchildren, Jessie Smith and husband Kevin of Miami, Savannah Ahrens and Drew of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Corey Butts and wife Bethany of Madill, Oklahoma, Jonathan Butts of Porum, Oklahoma, Cody Ellingsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Nathan Robinson of Georgia; Emily Robinson of Florida; Jonny Robinson of Alabama; Chloë and Lily Westbrook of Canadian, Jordan and Linken Hernandez of Pampa, Texas.  Great grandchildren, Kelsi Smith, Jensen Ahrens, Jadyn, Sophie, Emma and Adelyn Butts.  Four brothers in law, John and Judy Hagler, David and Susan Hagler, James and Cheryl Hagler, Mark and Marylee Hagler, and many nieces and nephews.  Best friend Gary Hunt and many others.

Jerry was preceded by his father Dub Collier; infant son, Donald Wayne Collier; father and mother, Calvin and Dottie Collier Hickey; son Jeffrey Lynn Collier; grandson, Abel Hernandez; granddaughter, Brandi Collier; in laws, Verl and Marion Hagler.
