She graduated from Vega High School and at an early age she married the love of her life, Howard Wayne Hill on September 3, 1951 in Vega. He passed away on April 28, 2002 after celebrating 50 years of marriage. As a young married couple, they moved around and lived in several communities in the Texas panhandle. She was a longtime member of the Canadian Church of Christ. In the late 90’s, Sunny took up golf and fell in love with it and became quite a golfer and was a member of the Canadian Golf Association. She enjoyed several hobbies such as sewing, knitting, and growing vegetable and flower gardens. She was a wonderful cook and was always available to cook for the cowboys at the ranches for spring and fall roundup.
