Mary Marie Baker

Mary Marie Baker, 91, of Canadian died, Friday June 15 in Canadian.

Funeral Services will 2:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2018 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Matt Cook, officiating.  Burial will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery.  Arraignments under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Ms. Baker was born January 26, 1927 in Canadian to Charles and Agnes Baker. She attended Canadian schools and graduated from Canadian High School. Ms. Baker was baptized on August 31, 1957.  As a member of the First Baptist Church she was active in church activities and was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, her faith was important to her.  Ms. Baker worked with her family at the Canadian Motel and later worked at Hemphill County Hospital as a Charge Clerk.  She was a strong supported of the United States Military and its Veterans.

Ms. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Ruby Roberts, Lorene McCormick and Lora McElreath; and 2 brothers, Earl Baker and Wayne Baker. Survivors include a brother Elvis Baker of Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
