Stanley Wayne Lankford was born August 5, 1952, in Norman, Oklahoma to Harold & Stella Lankford. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Canadian. He married Elizabeth Trujillo on March 24, 1979, in Roswell, New Mexico. Prior to becoming chronically ill, Stanley was a roughneck in the oilfield. Over decades of poor health, he served in many ways as a member of the community and loved doing so. He was proud to raise his family in a small supportive and tight knit town. Stanley was often a patient of the hospital and local clinic and felt cared for like family. He loved music and enjoyed making memories with family and friends.
Stanley was preceded by his parents, Stella and Harold Lankford and his parents in-law, Julia and Rafael Trujillo.
