Steve Morris

Steve Morris, 62 of Canadian passed away April 10, 2019 in Canadian.

Memorial graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemeteries with Pastor Donald Hill of The River Ministries, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Steve was born October 2, 1956 in Borger to Johnny and Jeanie Morris. He attended Canadian Schools. Growing up Steve loved spending time on the family farm with his grandparents. He enjoyed going out to the farm with his grandparents. Their activities included hunting, fishing and learning to drive a tractor. Steve and brother David loved taking their mopeds out to the farm to ride with their Grandad Ora. Steve enjoyed grilling to host family and friends. He moved to Portland, Oregon where he was employed by Camping World. Then he later transferred his job to Denton where he continued his employment for twenty-five years. Steve returned to Canadian in 2013 to be closer to his mother and family. He was a friendly, loving and caring man. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a fun papa.

Survivors include his mother, Jeannie Morris of Canadian; three children, Nina Morris of Denton, Cory Morris of Denton and Dustie Batenhorst of Shamrock; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Aydan, Owen, Ashton, Preslie, and Chelsie; and sister, Holli Rackley of Liberal, KS.

Steve was preceded in death by his dad, Johnny Morris and a brother, David Morris.
