Terry Lynette South

Terry Lynette South, 76, of Glazier passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, in Canadian.

Memorial Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Glazier Cemetery with Donald Hill and Daryl Perry officiating.  Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Terry was born December 3, 1946, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Orville & Ruth Helen Langkeit. They moved to the Texas panhandle when Terry was 3 years old.  She grew up on the McQuiddy Oasis Ranch. Terry attended Higgins school and graduated from Higgins High School.  She married Jim South in 1964 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1998.  Jim & Terry had a son Justin, who passed away in February 1993.  Her last love was Jim Martin, he passed November 3, 2019. Terry loved working in her flower beds and yard.  She loved being outside and hated wintertime.  She enjoyed all types of music concerts from Kid Rock to George Strait.  Terry was known to her friends to be a “pitch playing fool”.

Survivors include lifelong friends Lizbeth Valentine, Shannon Prater, Tim & Ty Dickinson, Bud & Brenda Dickinson, Matt & Karen Martin, Mary Ann Wright and a host of many more friends.
