Troy Hilton Hutson

January 19, 1919 — December 13, 2019

Troy Hilton Hutson, he was 1-month shy of 101, formerly of Canadian, passed away December 13, 2019 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2019, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, with Father Jojireddy Konkala, Priest of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Canadian, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley of Canadian Funeral Directors.

Troy was born January 19, 1919 in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to John Henry Hutson and Lois Margaret Miley Hutson. He married Doris Myrene Kelly on September 26, 1939 in Borger; they were married for 55 years. She preceded him in death, and he later married Patricia Baggett in Collin; she preceded him in death in November 2018. Troy worked for Mobil Oil Company for 43 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. Troy always had a love for his cars, enjoyed working in his yard; he always had the best tomato plants around. Troy enjoyed walking and spending time at the YMCA in Canadian. He was loved dearly and will be missed.

Troy was also preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Beck, his children, Linda Grewell and husband Gary, Deborah Snider and husband Mike, and Mark Hutson and wife Joy; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
